The presentation, delivered by the project coordinator, focused on the ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐น of the LIFE COโtoCHโ technology, highlighting how innovative Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) pathways can support industrial decarbonization, the Just Transition of coal-dependent regions and the development of circular carbon solutions.
The project attracted considerable interest from the international scientific community, generating fruitful discussions on biomethane production, hybrid energy storage systems, and the opportunities for scaling up and transferring the LIFE COโtoCHโ concept to different industrial sectors.
We would like to thank the organizers and participants of EGU2026 for the valuable exchange of knowledge, ideas and perspectives.
EGU26 is the annual General Assembly of the European Geosciences Union, the largest geoscience conference in Europe, bringing together thousands of scientists to share research and discuss solutions to pressing climate, environmental, and sustainability challenges.
