The Consortium

The CRONUS consortium has inter-disciplinary nature for a comprehensive knowledge base generation and includes 13 partners from 7 Member States (Greece, Denmark, Italy, France, Spain, Slovakia, and Cyprus) and United Kingdom with multidisciplinary and complementary experience in the development of biogenic gases CUS technologies, LCSA, communication/dissemination, economy/market analysis, and governance, legal and policy issues. Furthermore, there are different types of entities involved: 5 Universities (National Technical University of Athens, Technical University of Denmark, University of Padova, Brunel University London, Autonomous University of Barcelona), 3 Research Centres (CARTIF, CIRAD, Hellenic Agricultural Organization – Demeter), 4 SME (NEVIS, MADISI, ALGEN, Bio Tech Pro), 1 non-profit (UT SEMIDE).

All consortium partners are highly experienced in EU research projects and are fully capable of conducting research, are pioneers in innovation actions, and well experienced in demonstration and dissemination.

The consortium is well balanced and each partner has a clear role defined and brings a specific contribution along the value chain of the project. The consortium is also selected in such a way that a wide range of regions of Europe are represented. This planning has been carried out to ensure sufficient attention to the regional differences that exist in the operational practice of biofuels production and the respective biogenic effluent gases.
